It ended way too abruptly for me. It was OK 2.5 stars. Main chick didn't get her head out of her behind until the last freaking 2 pages and then bam the end??? Like excuse me!? NO! and the issues with her mom??? What happened there? She finally told her mom his she felt then her mom walks away and now everything is OK???? Like WHAT IN THE EVER LOVING HECK?! And what about that THOT Marcia???? In the last chapter Marcia is calling Dylan her boyfriend and not even a page later Dylan is pledging his love to the main chick?! So what?? The THOT just disappeared??? Like she's not even an issue anymore???? There were so many other things that were left unexplained. I just, I can't . smhProduct details

Schooled edition by Piper Lawson Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Romance is the name of the game in this book. This book delivers what we all want more romance and excitement in our life. Overall i am very well pleased with this book and the excitement it has brought me. This book had me unwilling to put it down until I turned the last page. Would I recommend this book to other people? Yes I would including friends .I absolutely think this is great book. All opinions are my own and they are not influenced by anyone but myself. If this review helped you at all please vote yes below.
Do you know what I mean when I say some writers can show you things and others have to tell you about them? Well for me Piper Lawson is a tell you about it kind of author. Her writing was fine and the book was well edited, the story arc was okay and the drama was pretty decent, but it just didn't engage me. I never felt like I was IN the world of the book, but rather like I was looking at it through a few feet of water.
Despite the struggles in the book, I felt like it was a book about characters who didn't actually have any real problem (though they definitely thought they did). It felt like kids playing at being adults. And the writing, it felt kinda simple.
There was a pretty abrupt ending and I don't think the conflict between the H/h was ever resolved, it was like they both just decided to move on without even talking it out.
But okay, the positive things This was an easy, quick read with a little bit of humor and a decent amount of chemistry and romance; in fact, the romance was definitely the best aspect of the book.
Prologue, 35 Chapters-Epilogue (2 months later)
Lex's point of view.
Released- Nov 1, 2015
This was okay for me. The romance was steamy around 40 % it picked up. What frustrated me was that the hid so long. I felt Lex didn't deserve Dylan. He was to sweet and she came off as an ungrateful brat. It also bugged me Lex claims she was ready- at the same time she pushes him away. I hated the ending. It was erupt and because of that I won't read Ava's story. I hate that this epilogue was only two months later, and with Lex leaving. The the link for Ava story, and that we will be getting more Dylan, and Lex in Ava's same. Because it ruins it. It ruined this whole story. The ending made it feel so incomplete. I don't think I would even consider this a happy for now ending. I did like the romance aspect.
I think for now on I am going to start reading endings before I begin the book!
I didn't like Alexis. She was annoying, self centered, judgmental and dull. However I liked Dylan. He was sweet, charming and thoughtful. I didn't have feelings for Ava one way or another. She was just there but that is ok because she is a secondary character who has her own story in the next book.
I liked that Dylan, despite a reputation to the contrary was not a manhoe. He had less sexual experience than Alexis, who did not have much either. Dylan had been with one girl previously for a short period of time. Alexis had two prior boyfriends who she had sexual relationship with. Alexis and Dylan were faithful to each other including during the separations.
Talking about separations there were too many and they were too long and they made the story drag. Also there was no valid reasons for them. Alexis blew hot and cold too much and Dylan let her. When she blew him off he would retreat for many days and sometimes months. I wanted him to be more forceful and insistent but he kept backing off. It felt like they spent more time apart then together. Not good for a romance story.
Other parts of the story were boring was well. There were too many details about things that did not matter. There were too much time spent with Alexis doing things for her start up company and other fashion industry related tasks. I just did not care. Also the ending was abrupt and lacking.
I absolutely loved this story; and can honestly say it's the best one I've read in recent weeks. I enjoyed getting to watch Lex, a young woman about to graduate college, and her business partner Ava (and bff) as they work to debut their own fashion line, Travesty. Add into the mix Eva's younger brother Dylan, who has had a thing for Lex since he was a kid, now all grown up and newly transferred to their school. Dylan and Lex begin a real friendship not dependant on his sister, and soon a physical relationship begins with them as well. The sexy scenes were hot, without being raunchy, and I loved seeing their love develop for each other.
